🔹 Research Notes
---These were very difficult to date
---Some sources say that Rapid Zipper production was discontinued after 1947 in favor of different branding, but there are many verified examples of rapid zippers being used on Vietnam era military apparel. That being said, this particular zipper most closely represented ones I found that were dated to World War II, although that dating was also unverified
---The suspender buttons seem consistent to the time period
---The construction of the full cotton lining also seems consistent to the time period
---These pants were found in the same collection as some other vintage workwear pieces from both the U.S. and Germany. This included a pair of Woolrich hunting pants that I was able to definitely date to 1953. While that doesn't tell us much, it's still useful to know.
---Latest these could possibly be is 1960s, but 1940s/1950s seems a lot more likely
