Research Notes: This particular jacket is a civilian jacket, even though it has a military style label. There are modern copies of this jacket floating around, but I have verified this one as true vintage based on the hardware and materials used, as well as information about the prior owner that was found tucked into one of the pockets. I just haven't managed to lock down the exact timeframe where it could have been manufactured.
