Research Note: These pants were likely made in the late 1940s to early 1950s. This represented the transition period between Naval Clothing Factory and Naval Clothing Depot Tags. While a lot of sources say that 1945 was a hard cut off, and that anything with Naval Clothing Factory can't be post 1945, it was actually a more gradual transition. The detailed cleaning instructions indicate that they are likely post 1945, but the Naval Clothing Factory indiicates that it's likely only a few years post 1945, with the Korean War period being the lastest possible date.
